Terms & Conditions
Thank you for considering our venue for your special day. To ensure a seamless experience, please review the following terms and conditions:
1. Venue Spaces
The hall can be used as a chapel or reception area, and we have beautiful lawn spaces available for outdoor ceremonies or receptions. For outdoor weddings, tent hire may be required.
2. Ceremony & Décor
Please note that ceremonies are no longer held in the stables, as these are now used to stable our own and external clients' horses. Décor and floral arrangements are not provided by the venue and will need to be managed by the bridal team or wedding coordinator.
3. Catering & Beverage Services
Our venue does not have an on-site restaurant, nor do we hold a liquor license. We invite you to bring your own beverages (BYOB). While our staff will be available to assist with ushering guests and maintaining shared spaces and facilities (including restrooms), they will not provide waitstaff services or take drink orders. Your bridal team or coordinator will need to arrange for waitstaff, bartenders, and any necessary cleaning staff to handle décor, table settings, and glassware.
4. Décor & Cleanup
Our staff do not set up, pack up, or clean other vendors' décor. The venue is booked until 2:00 am. Fires are not permitted during windy conditions and must never be left unattended. Open flames, such as candles, are not allowed on table settings or as part of the décor. Only biodegradable flowers, leaves, bubbles, or popcorn are allowed.
5. Vendor Collection & Guest Checkout
Vendors are required to collect their décor and equipment by 12:00 pm the day after the event. Guest checkout is at 10:00 am on their day of departure.
6. Leftover Food & Beverages
Leftover food, desserts, cakes, and alcoholic beverages may be stored in the fridges at the swimming pool area and should be collected by 12:00 pm the day following the event.
7. Self-Catering Braai Room
The self-catering braai room in the clubhouse is available for use on the evening before the wedding. Please note an additional cleaning fee of R1,500 will apply for those using this space.
8. Breakage Deposit
A refundable breakage deposit of R5,000 is required and is not included in the package price.
8. Wood
Wood is available for purchase at R70 per bag.
9. Bookings
To secure your booking, a 50% deposit is required. The remaining balance must be settled one month prior to the wedding date. For wedding and event bookings, please contact our management team directly. You can reach us at admin@swartvleifarm.co.za.
